The Dragonfly Outlander Tour will take you to castles, palaces, and landscapes where some of the most passionate moments were filmed for the  Outlander TV series.

  • The filming locations you will visit on this tour include the harbour where Jamie and Claire first arrive in France, Versailles’ Gardens where Jamie and Black Jack meet again, the chapel where Rupert lost an eye and the location of the Witch Trials to name but a few.  Join fellow Outlander-fans and follow in the footsteps of Jamie and Claire. You are sure of a warm welcome.

    Our driver/guide is a great story-teller and knowledgeable about the real histories of Scotland. Also available in French and German.


    Please note:
    • Tours run with a summer (Mar – Sep) and winter (Oct – Feb) itinerary.  Drummond Castle is not open November to May so we will amend the tour during those months.
    • The entrance fees listed below are for guidance only and can change at any time.
    • Itineraries may also change at short notice due to local events.
    • Many of the locations on this tour have uneven terrain or cobblestones and are not suitable for those with mobility restrictions.

    Meeting Point: 9am Apr to Sep, 9:30am Oct to Mar
    Linlithgow Train Station, Station Road, Linlithgow, (Map here) – 20 mins by train from Edinburgh, 30 mins by train from Glasgow (How to book a train ticket)

    Tour Departs:
    Daily depending on availability. 
    Oct – Feb: by arrangement

    Tour Returns:
    By 5pm Summer 4pm Winter hours Linlithgow Train Station, Station Road, Linlithgow
