Tour details:

Beginning in the Royal and Ancient Burgh of Linlithgow. you will see historic Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and the perfect filming location for Perth Castle in Outlaw King and Wentworth Prison in Outlander. The grounds outside the Palace and the loch were the backdrop for the stunning coronation scene of Robert the Bruce.

Beside the palace is St Michael’s Church which was used in Outlaw King for the wedding scene for Robert the Bruce and Elizabeth de Burgh and the funeral of Robert’s father Robert de Brus. Two fabulous locations from both a filming and historical perspective.

Our next location is Blackness Castle or otherwise known as Fort William in Outlander, Holyrood Palace in Mary Queen of Scots or where we saw Robert the Bruce’s wife Elizabeth imprisoned in Outlaw King.

To complete the experience, you will get the opportunity to handle actual props used in Outlaw King and hear stories of how the different productions adapted the sites for their films.
